Not OP, but it sounds to me like they're both half asleep the whole time, so Bucky would just be in bed.

OP- That is what I was thinking. They’re both fairly out of it. Steve thinks he’s having fucked up sex dreams and can’t get away anyway, so he doesn’t try, and Bucky doesn’t want the dream respite to end, so he doesn’t try to do anything that might disturb it.
