with regard to the comments about people being inappropriately voyeuristic towards famous people's traumas, case in point, the Bill Cosby scandal.

Raven Symone had to publicly debunk the idea that Cosby had done anything to her. Cosby gets accused of rape by several women, and the first thing people wanted to know was "did he molest any of his well known costars?" And it makes sense to ask that (current popular theory is that Lisa Bonet knows something) but the first potential victim they thought of was the one who was three years old when they worked together. And something tells me they weren't asking such an invasive question directly to her, and in public, because they were genuinely concerned about her feelings. Maybe some of them thought they were, but they were really just hoping for the very worst possible scenario to be true.

So I'm imagining people asking Bucky to confirm or deny lists of famous people who might've assaulted him, or making up conspiracy theories about famous people who were never actually involved.

Would you guys be interested in doing a HTP Spring Exchange? I'm thinking something easy and fun to get us started, maybe a 500-word minimum with a two-month deadline? Fanart also welcome?

AO3 has a nice fic exchange template with the option of posting anonymous submissions, so if you are interested I can set one up for us. It does require participants to have an AO3 account, but I have extra invites if anybody needs one.

Edit: To clarify, for an Exchange you submit a request for a fic/fanart you'd like someone else to create for you, and you'll be given someone else's request to fill in return (participants are matched so nobody has to work outside their comfort zone). You submit your finished work, and at the end of the deadline everybody's works are revealed.

How do you actually post anonymous stories on Ao3? Sorry for the dumb question. It's probably obvious, but I have no idea and their FAQ was unhelpful. All I remember is a couple of times people mentioning that it was unreliable and de-anoned them?

So I saw a couple of Agent Carter related prompts and don't get me wrong I'm all for including other stuff into the trash party but I remember people bringing up AoS a while ago and it being vetoed down because it's not Cap 2 related. So is that still a thing?? Or is AC Cap related even without Hydra because Peggy is in it?? So basically what is allowed to be included in the trash party and what isn't?? Are we including AoS and AC now? Or just AC? Or neither? Because I'm a confused little dumpster diver right now

Just fyi, someone with quite a few followers reblogged post about HTP being sick. So there's probably going to be more drama.

The comments by people who don't understand just piss me off. Mostly the ones that don't get that featuring non-con doesn't automatically mean it's glorifying it. Someone compared it to 50 shades and ...ugh. No story on here says "this is positive/right". Not to mention they never had to read any of this. Greetings! I am just_tea_thanks/dogtagsandsmut on Ao3, and I am pleased to announce that there is a Hydra Trash Party hard copy anthology in the works. Essentially, for those of you not on tumblr, we will be collecting popular published and not yet published art and fics to compile into a book and made available for purchase. Above and beyond shipping and handling, the proceeds from the book will go to a trauma survivors organization, so it's for a good cause! Some of HTP's biggest named fans have already signed up.

I don't party on tumblr or LJ; is there a place where one can privately share lost/deleted Cap fics? I wanted to re-read "The Theory of Symmetry" (http://ao3feed-stevexbucky.tumblr.com/post/114355160697/the-theory-of-symmetry) and it's gone from AO3, along with the author.

Does anybody know if there's a way to get hold of it? If I had to take an educated guess, I'd assume shit hit the fan because it was obviously inspired by "A Long Winter" & "The Thirteen Letters" and that's why it disappeared. (And by "obviously inspired" I mean four sentences matched, out of 37000 words.)

So usually I... okay, I was about to say usually I don't waste my time on pointless internet arguments, but that is a complete lie. I love internet arguments. But I usually don't spend this much time on them.

Because when people are Wrong On The Internet to the extent that my fellow trashbabies are upset and hurt, I feel like I need to do something. But I sure as fuck don't have the patience to go around to every teenager who's just discovered the internet and explain what darkfic is.

So instead I thought maybe I could put all those explanations in a blog that we can just point wankers at. This is NOT COMPLETE and I'm NOT making it actually-public yet, because I wanted to check with the meme first whether (a) anyone would not be okay with this idea, (b) anyone feels like I've misrepresented anything, (c) I've missed anything obvious, and (d) what I've written even makes sense.

For myself, I really like the Brubaker run, and have been occasionally picking away at an idea involving the scene where Baron Zemo has captured Steve and Bucky and had his men torture Bucky to get at Steve.

You guys know what I hate? Really freaking hate? A tumblr-famous Steve/Bucky artist making a post about Steve raping Bucky (by taking advantage of a conditioned trigger phrase to make him pliant and erase his memories afterwards) and tagging it #hydra trash party.

THIS IS THE FUCKING OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE HYDRA TRASH PARTY IS ABOUT. That prompt would've been shot down SO FAST on this site for violating the no dark!good guys rule. But now that's what people on tumblr think HTP is.

Age of Ultron has now been released in most areas, and I was wondering if the Trash Party meme could be opened up to HYDRA related characters and concepts from it soon? I have some ideas involving Strucker and Liszt.

After reading a fill for a damn good prompt with very nice ideas and a rather good style of writing but a really bad take on the german language, as a german!anon I'd like to quote a friend of mine: "Ich wusste nicht ob ich wichsen oder weinen sollte.." (I didn't know if I should wank or cry... (trust me, this sounds really funny in german! :P)). Would the trash party maybe be interested in a small tutorial on how to write a little dirty talk in german without it sounding hilarious or how to do proper bad german-english? Or is there already something like that and I would waste my time?

Okay, so I posted a prompt recently asking for sex pollened Steve and self-lubrication, because I LOVE those things (also knotting because mmmm) but am seriously squicked by mpreg and forced societal roles, both of which are the basis for A/B/O, which is generally the only place where those others exist. Anyway, do you guys have any die-hard kinks that you never really see in fics without your squicks?
