At the end of CA:TWS, instead of Steve ending up in the hospital after Bucky gets him out of the water, HYDRA gets their slimy be-tentacled hands on him. And hey, they have an opening for a brainwashed supersoldier! Natasha et al are still looking for Steve's body among the many, many bodies in the river right now. Maybe Same gets the shield and an invite to the Avengers clubhouse while they hunt down HYDRA?

Pretty much what I would like to see is: They use that chair to wipe Steve's memories, but that alone won't turn Steve Rogers into an obedient killing machine. I would like to see them try multiple methods, wiping him after each doesn't get the results they want. I'd like it if there are mixed successes, where they do get him to do awful things for them because he's confused/scared/lied to etc but they don't get as much control as they had over the Winter Soldier.

I would like for him to eventually either escape or be saved, though. After, like, a LOT of trauma.

Six days after the Insight Crash, Sam Wilson walked out of the bathroom to find the Winter Soldier standing in his living room.

"Holy fucking shit," he yelped, and made a break for the bedroom, wondering as he went how far he was going to make it before he got shot. Or stabbed. Or just crushed.

Except he got to the bedside table and yanked open the drawer, and there was no gun in it. He whirled and the Soldier was in the door, holding up his 1911 (Sam had a thing for the classics), and Sam swallowed and promised himself he wasn't going to die without getting in one good hit. Just one.

"I'm not here to kill you," the Winter Soldier said, in a voice rusty with disuse. The statement was bald and surprising enough to override the adrenaline that sang in Sam's veins enough for him to think.

The Soldier wasn't holding the gun in firing position, and it wasn't like him to play with his targets, either--his style was all straightforward, efficient violence. He was wearing civilian clothing and his hair was pulled back, and it didn't look like he'd shaved since Sam had seen him last.

Sam swallowed again. "OK, that's what I like to hear," he said, and paused. The Winter Soldier didn't fill the silence. Finally Sam said, "Why are you here?"

"I need to know if you know where St--Captain Rogers is," the Soldier said, and wasn't that interesting phrasing.

Sam blinked in surprise and said slowly, "You can't seriously expect me to tell you where he is."

"I don't want you to tell me," the Soldier said, with a mild irritation that wasn't matched in his blank face. "I just need to know if you know."

One of the things that made Sam good at his job was his ability to read people, and this--he would bet a year's pay that this was not the same person who had so methodically tried to kill him not a week ago. "No one knows," Sam said, fighting down his worry. "No one's heard from him since he told Hill to start the helicarrier attack. They dredged the shield out of the river, but if his body's down there they haven't found it yet."

For the first time the Winter Soldier's face showed something, and with astonishment Sam identified it as fear. "It's not. He was alive when I pulled him out." Pulled him out? Sam thought. But before he could ask the Soldier went on, "HYDRA has him."

Steve woke up sitting in a chair. In itself, that wasn't immediately alarming. What worried him was that he could tell his arms and legs were restrained, and there was an ache in his gut that said his memory of being shot, of Bucky shooting him, was not a dream. The voice in the back of his mind that sounded like Bucky said dryly, How the hell do you keep getting yourself into these fixes? as Steve pried his eyes open.

The room was large and windowless, the walls covered in little metal doors--the safety deposit vault of a bank, he realized. More important was the woman standing at the foot of the chair. She was no one Steve knew, but she'd clearly been waiting for him to wake up. "Good," she said. "I was beginning to think we were going to have to relocate before we could get started."

"Where am I?" Steve demanded. There were other people in the room, several with guns and a man standing in front of a computer monitor.

"Take this, you'll want it," the woman said, and held out a piece of rubber he recognized as a bite guard. He could hear her heels tapping on the floor as she advanced until the thing was within his reach. He looked at it, and then up at her.

"Go to hell," he said.

She made a disappointed face. "I suppose you'll live without it," she said. "Go."

Something above his head began to whir and a pair of semicircular metal arms rotated into Steve's field of vision. He started to struggle, but the restraints were strong enough to hold him, at least for the moment. The arms kept coming and then unfolded protrusions that settled over his face, and Steve had time to think This reminds me of Howard's chamber before the world whited out into agony.

Mistaking kinkiness for trash

Prior to Bucky's return, the Avengers engaged in some super kinky but 100% consensual non-trash group sex. One of then was a 24/7 sub.

When Bucky (complete with HTP past) returns, the Avengers tone down their activities, keep it behind closed doors, etc. He starts regaining trust, dealing with the trauma he experienced. But then, Bucky finds out about the Avengers' kinky sex parties, and that messes up everything. Cue the horrible flashbacks, hurt, desperate and ineffectual attempts to avoid turning into a party favor and/or trying to "save" the sub.

Alright, so, Steve is horny, in love, and super super eager to get to fucking with Bucky. But, alas! Bucky's been traumatized into enough difficulty with sex that they're restricted to fairly chaste stuff -- either Bucky wants to take it reaaally slow, or he's not actually anticipating being able to have sex again ever. In any case, they do what they can do, and sometimes it turns out to be too much for Bucky, and sometimes he breaks down in Steve's arms about what Hydra did to him and how he hates himself for not being normal anymore.

I would like the awful tragedy of this contrasted by Steve's vivid masturbatory fantasies about all the sex he would like to be having with Bucky. Specifically, with a Bucky who's healthy, and enthusiastic, and certainly never flinches when Steve's hand lands on him the wrong way. It's harmless fantasy, but it makes Steve feel guilty and conflicted. Does this mean he doesn't accept his Bucky? Is he a bad person for whacking it to things Bucky can't do? And so on.

To clarify, he's Rumlow's "beloved" Soldier because when I saw Rumlow in the movie, like during the wipe scene, I had this idea that he's like "aw yeah!" because he thinks Bucky is some kind of badass for taking so much pain. Like the Soldier is what Rumlow wants to be when he 'grows up.' (Lol like that's ever gonna happen) So seeing the Soldier being raped is like the worst insult to Hydra that Rumlow can imagine.

After he escapes, Bucky's fear is that the abuse will recur again and again. From his perspective, why shouldn't it? Of course, everyone keeps assuring him that he's safe now, and he doesn't have to worry about being hurt anymore.

But trash meme, he does have to worry. Because I would like to see something where Bucky is raped again, not just once, and not just by the same person, but over and over and over. You know, he's captured on a mission and instead of dragging him to the chair they take turns on him. Later, after he quits missions, he's walking to the bakery when a dart hits him, and he only has blurry memories of the next two days but he finally comes to naked and hurting on a hotel bed, alone. And when it's gotten to the point he won't leave the apartment, they break in. He can hear Steve shouting from the other room, but all they do is subdue him; they only rape Bucky.

Basically I want Hydra or other forces using rape as a tool of psychological terrorism against Bucky, one that persists long, long after his captivity has technically ended. They might not have the resources to recapture and retrain him, but this they can do.

The premise: Steve and Bucky are both nabbed by Hydra. They take Bucky into a room with a two-way mirror, and Steve into the observation room, although Bucky has no idea he's there (and possibly no idea Steve was also captured, if that works better). They proceed to gang-rape Bucky while Steve is forced to watch. Throughout the entire ordeal, Bucky never figures out Steve is watching him.

+ When the truth is revealed, Bucky is DEVASTATED. Because in my imagination, if he had known Steve was watching, Bucky would have tried to act as tough and unbreakable as he thinks Steve himself would be, and as he thinks Steve would expect from him. But after years of rape, Bucky's coping mechanisms aren't Steve-approved "Blood from a Stone"-esque comebacks and defiance. Maybe he would have fought at first, but after a while it would have been disassociation, limp acquiescence, even participation to make it end faster, or some screaming and begging and crying when something overwhelmed him. He thinks he broke for them because he didn't know who he was exposing his brokenness to, and he's so ashamed Steve knows that about him now.

Like, Bucky is mostly recovered. I mean sure there's PTSD and maybe the occasional conditioning, but he very much knows who he is, who Steve is, and who's side he's on.

Hydra did terrible, terrible things to him - including repeated rapes spanning over decades.

Steve knows this; he has read it in the files Nat found for him. He even saw some pictures. There's even videos, but Steve refuses to watch those because he finds it disrespectful towards Bucky.

Bucky DOES have feelings for Steve, and maybe remembers Steve looking at him with a little more than a friendly look before the war...but there's no way he's even going to mention that now, because even though he's mostly recovered, he's utterly convinced nobody in their right minds could possibly want him (maybe mixed in with some 1940's homophobia he was exposed to, and ideas about masculinity when growing up).

Except something happens. And they kiss. I dunno...maybe Bucky can get drunk. Or Bucky gets a flasback and Steve gets a bit carried away comforting him. Or maybe one of them gets hurt in a fight and the other just kisses him when the fear it might be the last chance.

In any case, they're hit with the reality that these feeling are real and mutual.

Except Bucky thinks there's something really wrong with Steve for wanting an ex-assassin who's been fucked hundreds of times.

He literally goes to Sam worried about his mental health, to Bruce to insist on a brain scan, goes to Nat to confirm that Steve actually has seen those pictures, fears it might be Stockholm syndrome or whatever etc etc.

Maybe he actually show Steve some video's to try and "snap him out of it", only it makes Steve love him more and he just.doesn't.get.it.

He even has an intervention where he questions Steve about his sanity.

Give me Bucky Barnes feeling so unworthy that he thinks only an insane person would want him, and a completely head-over-heels Steve Rogers who can't imagine ever *not* wanting Bucky. And all the sweet, sweet angst.

Hydra has gotten so used that the Asset is a weapon, and essentially an object, that rape is just not really a big deal. It's not even seen as rape, just as using Hydra material.

It's just obvious to everyone that this is part of what the Asset is used for.

So someone might order the Asset to suck them off while on the way to a mission, or fuck him in the locker room because they were changing clothes, and hey, the were naked anyway. Someone might bend him over the dining table in the canteen, while others would just proceed to eat their food and think nothing on it. Because hey, it's just one of their colleagues getting some release, having some innocent fun.

Oh, and if the Asset just started peeing next to one of the agents...well, their cocks were out now anyway, right?

On stake-outs or missions with a lot of waiting they take turns on him, because hey they're bored.

Someone might even find it fun to get sucked by the asset while giving orders or giving a speech.

As for the Asset...he doesn't really get any prep or anything like that. He never quite cooperate, but he doesn't fight if something is shoved up his holes. It's painful and uncomfortable, but he accepts it as part of his role. He knows he's not given the same rights as a human being.

So basically the opposite of Rumlow believing his horrible trash relationship with Bucky was a healthy dinner for two. In this prompt Bucky is the one thinking their love was pure and true.

During recovery he starts to remember all the 'little' things that Rumlow 'did for him.' Maybe it was just Rumlow cleaning him up after a horrible rape or giving him a cookie when nobody was looking.
And he starts to have these left over 'asset' feelings for Rumlow. He has dreams about Rumlow and wakes up tearful because he misses the Axe smelling cocky bastard.
He starts to remember other things too - like Rumlow turning his back on the asset instead of cleaning him up, or Rumlow joining in on a trash party. But he makes excuses for him every time like "Well he had to join in or everyone else would gang up on him too/doubt his loyalty."

And poor Steve tries to talk to him and explain that it was NOT ok what Rumlow did. Maybe even Natasha tries to also, but she still deals with the whole Stockholm Syndrome of what she went through and she finds it horribly triggering to talk to Bucky about his Rumlow feelings. So Bucky is just convinced that nobody gets their true love.

The wipes dont' really work anymore and Bucky just pretends that he's all dumbed down asset. Consequently over time he's progressively recovering memories as he emerges from cryo for each mission. He's going through all of the things he would be going through in recovery (ideally) but pre CATWS. He's just having to hide it, play dead eyed assassin, and bide his time.
Meanwhile he's carefully trying to orchestrate rape so that it's only one person who rapes him. Maybe he tries to appeal (non verbally, still pretending to be dumbed down/brainwashed asset) to one particular agent for a 'protection' type of relationship, where that person is the only one who gets to fuck him. Could be Rumlow, could be someone else. They may or may not realize there's more to the asset than what most people notice but since it works to their advantage and Bucky pleases them in every way he can think of, they don't mention it to anyone.
Just not Pierce because honestly I'm tired of Pierce's old ass.
